Subscription & Unit Economics Calculators
Translate recurring revenue and acquisition math into MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, and whether growth is actually efficient.
Recurring revenue looks smooth until acquisition cost and churn show up in the unit economics. A rising top line can still be a bad business if every new customer costs more to win than they will ever return. This category is for founders, indie hackers, and small SaaS or membership operators who need the standard metrics without a full-blown analytics suite.
Use it when you are reporting monthly recurring revenue, annualizing it, estimating what a customer costs to acquire, what they are worth over their life, or checking whether LTV and CAC are in a healthy ratio. The tools are deliberately simple so the formulas stay visible— the same transparency standard as every other calculator on the site.
Start with MRR for the monthly recurring snapshot, then ARR when you need the annualized view (or the reverse conversion). Those top-line metrics describe scale; they do not by themselves say growth is efficient.
Efficiency lives in CAC (customer acquisition cost), LTV (lifetime value), and the LTV:CAC Ratio. A common rule of thumb is that LTV should be several times CAC for paid growth to make sense—but the right target depends on margins, payback period, and how you define “lifetime.” Use the ratio as a prompt to investigate, not as a vanity badge.
Inputs are only as good as your definitions (what counts as marketing spend, which customers are in the cohort, gross margin assumptions). Recalculate when pricing, churn, or channel mix changes. Pair these metrics with Business Health tools when cash runway or margins are the constraint on how hard you can push acquisition.
